06:00 pm - Stella Show I just bought tickets for me and Kyle to the Stella show at the Nokia Theater in Times Square on December 9. They are awesome, awesome seats and David Wain, Michael Showalter, and Michael Ian Black are hilarious. If you want to go buy now! We can all go together, even though I am not smart enough to email people about shows before I buy tickets. But do it anyway. It will be fun. It's a little expensive, so I understand if you're like, "Maggie, why would I want to go to a show with a bunch of guys whose sitcom got totally canceled and I'd have to use ticketmaster and step foot in Times Square?" The answer is, "Because they're great," but since this was a bit of an impulse purchase for me, I understand those reasons if you demur.

11:59 am - Because I know you were wondering I let go of my SWF fears and accepted Sara's excellent suggestion: my ringtone is now the theme from 30 Rock. Thanks to all who weighed in.

12:53 pm - Ring me up Hey everybody who's friended me and who checks their friends feed only! This is my first (and probably last) livejournal post. I have a situation that begs for the wisdom of the masses, and yet is not serious enough to warrant sending out an email. Here goes.
So AT&T, my new cell phone co., gave me credit for a free ringtone. This is great because I don't care for any of the pre-loaded ringtones, and have currently set my phone to "Old Telephone" (after a very scary incident with "Robot" when I thought the fridge was starting to talk to me). But "Old Telephone" often blends into the background, so I'd like something new. The problem is that AT&T's ringtones are the worst! If you have some free time, check it out.
Some things to consider: 1. I've never had a song as a ringtone. a. Will the song get caught in my head? b. If it's a song I like, will I eventually hate it? 2. Song must be easily heard in noisy environments. a. And not scary if I'm alone in the apartment. b. And not annoying for other people. 2. What does my song/noise choice say about me? a. I am dork, so it's okay if the song is a little dorky. b. Though I think I'd prefer something more obscure, so as to avoid point 1)a).
Right now I'm leaning toward the Deadwood theme. Or, alternately, forgetting about my free ringtone from AT&T and just making a ringtone of the old NBA on NBC theme.
What do you think, three people who magically found this entry?
